Vman's Grilled Ribeye
The photo above is of a meal I actually prepared Saturday during the first snow. It is pretty simple to prepare and quite delicious and satisfying when you want a bit of red meat. I sometimes get a taste for a nice steak but at the same time I am not trying to compete with "Man vs. Food" by eating a 64oz cow. LOL! You can't go wrong with a ribeye, broiled, grilled, or sliced up to stir fry. The ribeye is a modest and marbled cut of steak that is always tender and easy on the wallet. The motivation for this particular quest for steak was the discovery of a new spice blend that I could hardly wait to try.
Aunty Mom's Spices is a blend that I won't even venture to dissect. All I can say is it is a spectacular blend and made an incredible dry rub for my ribeye.
I love it because of its absence of salt and the fullness of flavor. My daughter caught a hint of heat which tasted and a rich flavor that didn't obscure the smokey grill deliciousness.
Here is what you need
1 pkg ribeye steaks (2-4 generally)
2 tbsp Aunty Mom's Spices (don't be shy)
(nice medium to hot grill surface)
Here is what you do
In preparing my steaks I always use a fork and tenderize them a bit by poking them all over, turn over and do the other side also.
Next rub the dry spices liberally on both sides of the steak. Let it rest in the refrigerator, while you prepare the fire on your grill.
I prefer charcoal to gas grilling because of the flavor of the smoke infused in the meat, but if your preference is gas grilling. Aunty Mom's Spices will
help you out. ;-)
Place steak on the grill (sear about 31/2-4 min per side)
Enjoy!!
